Sat Birdi

CEO and Chairman

Sat is a successful entrepreneur and technology polyglot with over 30 years’ experience architecting, building and delivering buy-side and sell-side enterprise solutions globally. Sat's early career was primarily spent working on advanced cryptography and real-time analytics. In 1995, he co-founded his first internet technology start-up focused on e-commerce security, which was successfully sold to Infogain Inc in 2000. Sat then took a leadership role with the CRM start-up Blue Martini Software. In 2006, Sat co-founded Connected Box Software Ltd., a research incubator focused on solving the more intractable internet security problems affecting e-commerce and society. In 2012, he co-founded vzInternet, a commercially focused FinTech incubator, with the express mission to make transacting online safe for everyone.

Rob Noble


Rob is an energetic and experienced operations executive with a proven track record of defining and delivering sound strategies for growth and profit in international digital businesses. In his earlier career, he specialised in high-tech turnarounds and start-ups, particularly within the services sector, after holding international executive positions at Digital and IBM/Lotus. Originally an electronic engineer, Rob is also a non-executive director of various digital media/ marketing companies including the international full service media planning and buying agency Jack Media London Ltd. and RTB specialist Global Digital Markets Ltd.

Carlton Harris


Carlton is an enterprise systems security expert who works extensively on UK Government websites and projects for its agencies and third parties. Carlton has a proven track record of delivering high-security enterprise computer systems. Carlton's early career was spent computer programming at Phillips before setting up his first software development company in 1984. In 1995, he co-founded his first internet technology start-up called G05 Ltd, which was successfully sold to Infogain Inc. in 2000. In 2001, Carlton founded Enspire IT Ltd which was responsible for Lloyds TSB's Business Banking Portal. In 2006, he co-founded Connected Box Software, a self-funded Internet Security research incubator.

Paul Ashton


Paul qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1975. He has advised clients from owner-managed businesses and small and medium-sized entities through to publicly quoted companies on a diverse range of commercial and technical issues. Paul has extensive corporate finance experience.

Michael Bollen


Michael has more than 30 years of experience in IT and business operations. Throughout his career he has supported large, global organizations in their transformation and re-alignment agendas, driving the set up and roll-out of efficient business processes and leading the design and deployment of IT environments and tools to support the business agendas.

Kate Collinson

Head of Communications

Kate is an experienced marketing professional who has extensive off-line and online marketing experience. Her experience spans both the public and private sector where she has created and implemented effective website, social media and content marketing strategies to drive traffic and generate ROI.

Pat Geary

Advisory Board: SME Marketing

Pat Geary has over 20 years of international marketing experience across a range of large multinational and start-up software and hardware businesses. Most recently Pat has worked as CMO at Skinkers, a UK based enterprise SW company and CMO for Livestation, the world's first global news platform on the Internet. Pat's previous experience includes international corporate marketing roles at Searchspace, Sequent Computer Corp and DEC. He holds an honours degree in Computer Science.

Hardish Narula

Advisory Board: SME Banking

Hardish is an experienced banking professional with over 20 years working at HSBC. Currently, Hardish is a Customer Experience Manager using customer insight research and customer journey mapping tools and techniques to address the key areas of customer satisfaction and dissatisfaction.

Simon Noakes

Advisory Board: SME Investor Relations

Simon is a qualified Chartered Accountant, with extensive client advisory expertise. With a strong track record in new business generation and client development, Simon has gained significant expertise and built up a large network of contacts across a range of industry sectors. He is well versed in assisting inbound companies starting up in the UK, as well as outbound businesses, understanding their challenges and providing the right solutions for their individual circumstances. Having established an international group of accountants which he managed for 25 years, Simon has focused his career on effectively advising owner managed businesses, high net worth individuals and professional practices, providing strategic advice and helping them achieve their ambitions.

David Reay

Advisory Board: SME Corporate Relations

David is a graduate in Business Studies from Kingston University. He worked for many years marketing famous brands for blue chip companies such as Dairy Crest, GlaxoSmithKline(GSK) and Associated British Foods. After becoming Marketing Director for Associated British Foods, he went on to be Executive Director for London First, the influential business membership organisation whose mission is to make London the best city in the world to do business. Currently, David is a partner of the Anglo-Sino Consultancy LLP which is securing inward investment from China for UK startups.
